Leadership
I am an empathetic and empowering leader and a fierce advocate for content in digital product teams. My teams at JPMorgan and Fidelity were the most inspiring and supportive group of people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. They collaborated to solve problems, they mentored each other, and they were comfortable asking one another for help or advice. And wow, were they talented strategists and writers!
I learned a lot from them and hopefully passed on a nugget or two of knowledge along the way. I encouraged leadership within the team, whether it was mentoring a junior teammate, leading a project outside the day-to-day, or working with me on special assignments. It’s important for people to be able to lift their heads out of details and continue to learn and grow their skills. I encouraged the team to explore their passions and helped them find opportunities to deepen their skills in those areas.
I have good hiring instincts and look to build teams with diverse talents and backgrounds. There’s magic in diversity of thought! Creating inspiring teams doesn’t happen overnight or without a great investment in recruiting. I am dedicated to investing the time and effort to hire, onboard, train, and mentor great content strategists, content designers, and UX writers.
Areas of oversight at J.P. Morgan
I started the first Content Design team at J.P. Morgan Global Private Bank, hiring designers across the globe to support the needs of advisors, clients, and institutions at the Bank.
Areas of oversight at Fidelity
I oversaw 6 domains across Personal Investing. Each domain had many products and applications. Overall, there were hundreds of apps under my purview.
I had expertise in all of Fidelity’s products and services having moved across many business lines over my tenure.
In my latter years at Fidelity, I focused heavily on content technology, having an interest in how content was created, structured, and managed over time. Creating structured content across multiple domains allowed us to reuse content across the enterprise, creating more cohesive, consistent experiences for customers.
